Please keep in mind that these books are ones that I
have found enjoyable, useful, or valuable in some
way. Not all of them necessarily reflect my
own beliefs, and some of them are actually in conflict with them. But
there was something in them that I found compelling and/or interesting, so
that's why they are listed here.

www.bearsquiltshop.com
I love this quilt shop! Between the three owners, Bear, Russ and Vivs, I don't think there's a question about quilting, fabrics,
or patterns, that one of these guys can't answer. We've discussed a variety of things, but one of my favorite conversations was the discussion about what kind of quilt tattoo I would get!
Yes, there are quilting tattoos. And, no, I haven't gotten one...yet!
Drop by if you are in the area and have a chat. You'll not only have a fun time, I guarantee you won't be able to NOT buy something from their marvelous selection of fabrics and quilting stuff!

www.satterfieldmusic.com
Here's the new website of my friend, Lela Satterfield, who wrote the Pilgrim's Progress children's play I used in Delectable Mountains. She has lots of plays and songs you might like to use for your children's group. |

www.andyrauband.com
Andy Rau is the extremely talented songwriter and musician who not only gave me banjo lessons for a year (and was one of my musical consultants), but created the music for my book trailer on YouTube. If you are in the area and have a chance to see him and his band live, you won't be disappointed by their performance. But you can also buy his CD's on his website. Though I don't take lessons from him anymore (busy writing my next book), my husband, Allen, still goes to Andy's studio
every week for mandolin lessons. |

www.quiltcenter.org
The Alliance for American Quilts. This site has a large number of
interviews with quilters. The site also has a number of quilt
projects including the Quilters Save Our Stories (S.O.S.) project.

http://www.quarterinchpublishing.com
This is a website of another talented writer, illustrator,
quilt designer and friend! Jane Tenorio-Coscarelli has a whole
series of children's quilt story books out which are bilingual
Spanish/English. Her latest one--Cascarones (Confetti Eggs) has a
quote on the back from me! It's a wonderful book with a quilt
pattern included. All her books also come highly recommended by
me.

www.poisonedpen.com
Great independent book store where people can always get
signed copies of my books.

A great website of one of my favorite authors. You'll love her Italian
greyhounds! |
 |
www.thecottonball.com
The website of the real quilt store on which I based The Fabric Patch in Morro
Bay. To clear things up, the physical
quilt
store that I describe is The Cottonball in Morro Bay but I gave it the name
The Fabric Patch because they were the first quilt store to carry my books.
The Cottonball has moved since I first wrote about it, but they are
still in Morro Bay. |
